What You'll Be Doing:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all interface-related matters between internal teams, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement an interface management plan to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and document all interface points between systems, disciplines, and stakeholders.
- Monitor and track interface issues, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to discuss interface requirements, progress, and challenges.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and cooperation.
- Maintain accurate records of interface agreements, decisions, and changes.
- Prepare and present interface status reports to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify potential interface risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction teams to ensure technical compatibility of systems and components.
- Review and approve interface documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve interface management processes and tools.
- Provide lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in interface management, project coordination, or a related role.
- Proven experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of interface management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
