Position

As an Intern - Fintech, you will support the Fintech Financial Controller in maintaining the integrity, completeness, and timeliness of core Fintech control activities across multiple product lines. In this role, you will play a critical part in strengthening financial governance, ensuring robust data oversight, managing recurring reconciliation workflows, and eliminating single points of failure across key financial processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the periodic reconciliation of financial flows, supporting data validation and identifying financial discrepancies across multiple Fintech product lines.
  • Track, investigate, and follow up on unresolved items to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely month-end and period-end closing cycles.
  • Support variance analysis against established benchmarks, proactively flagging operational anomalies and financial deviations for senior review.
  • Contribute to cost control effectiveness by systematically monitoring expense deviations and escalating operational risks before they impact financial performance.
  • Maintain, structure, and update key financial logs, reconciliation trackers, and audit documentation across assigned Fintech service streams.
  • Continuously monitor the completeness and accuracy of financial records to ensure full alignment with underlying transactional activity.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced logical formulas, structured data manipulation).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, comfort working with large datasets, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage recurring monitoring tasks and routine control workflows with consistency, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proactive approach to escalating issues and following up across teams.
  • Familiarity with financial control concepts, reconciliation frameworks, or prior exposure to audit, fintech, or payment processing environments is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of data querying or scripting tools (e.g., SQL, Python) is an advantage.
