About the Role
This internship offers a real opportunity to work as a QA Engineer within the Risk and Credit Process Engineering team at the company. You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability of automated business workflows crucial for our high-load, security-critical financial products used by millions across the GCC. Key Responsibilities
Interns will engage in meaningful production tasks under the guidance of senior professionals, contributing to key areas such as:

  • Release Validation and Regression Testing:

    • Run smoke and regression passes prior to workflow and system releases.
    • Confirm bug fixes and configuration changes across affected processes.
    • Maintain release sign-off checklists, flagging any issues that might prevent a successful release.
    • Track testing status to ensure full visibility for release decisions.
  • Bug Investigation and Triage:

    • Reproduce and isolate reported issues, determining their origins within workflows.
    • Inspect API requests/responses to identify errors due to bad payloads or unexpected responses.
    • Analyze application logs and error messages for evidence before escalating issues.
    • Write detailed bug reports that record steps, expected vs actual behavior, and supporting evidence.
    • Triage incoming reports from business teams, filtering noise and routing significant issues to the appropriate owner.
  • Automated Workflow Monitoring:

    • Monitor the health of running automations and integrations, identifying failures before end users encounter them.
    • Investigate and resolve issues related to configuration, failing integrations, or system defects.
    • Execute safe re-runs for known failure patterns under guidance.
    • Identify and track recurring failures, advocating for long-term fixes where applicable.
  • Test Cases and Documentation:

    • Execute, review, and update test cases as workflows evolve.
    • Maintain current test data and documentation, ensuring clarity and usefulness.
    • Propose new test cases for scenarios lacking coverage.
    • Contribute to a knowledge base that documents known issues, workarounds, and debugging guidelines.
  • Working Across Teams:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to ensure expected behavior and validation of fixes.
    • Communicate testing status clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Support end users during the rollout of workflow changes by validating practical scenarios.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • A recent graduate in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • Understanding of APIs, REST requests/responses, status codes, and JSON payloads.
  • Basic scripting skills in Python or JavaScript, able to read and adjust automation scripts.
  • Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to reproducing issues.
  • Detail-oriented with a structured documentation style.
  • Proficient in written English for effective bug reporting.
  • Willingness to learn rapidly, ask questions, and take ownership of tasks.

Additional Qualifications

  • Understanding of QA fundamentals: test cases, regression testing, bug lifecycle, severity, and priority.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.
  • Familiarity with webhooks, authentication flows (API keys, OAuth), or API documentation.
  • Exposure to workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate, Camunda, Zapier, or n8n.
  • Experience with issue trackers (Jira, Linear) or test management tools.
  • Interest in fintech, payments, or high-volume transactional systems.
  • Relevant academic projects, internships, or personal work involving testing or integration.

Contractual and Travel Details

  • This position is exclusively available for Saudi nationals.
  • Targeted at fresh graduates; a full-time engagement is required, with performance and involvement expectations matching a full-time level.
