Key Responsibilities
Interns will work on real production tasks under senior review and will not perform solely manual testing. Responsibilities include:
- Participating in end-to-end testing of product features and system integrations
- Performing manual testing where applicable and automating testing processes whenever possible
- Contributing to automated test suites (API, integration, end-to-end)
- Helping maintain and extend existing test frameworks and test data
- Validating interactions between services, clients, and external systems
- Participating in release testing and regression cycles
- Analyzing bugs, verifying fixes, and contributing to root-cause analysis
- Collaborating closely with engineers and product managers to enhance testability
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (Go preferred)
- Familiarity with fundamental data structures and algorithms
- Understanding of deterministic vs. state-dependent behavior in programs
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Understanding of unit testing concepts and principles
- Basic understanding of client-server architecture and familiarity with gRPC or RESTful API-based systems
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze existing code
- Comfortable with cross-team collaboration and networking
- Comfortable working in POSIX/Unix-like environments
- Hands-on experience writing unit tests in any language or framework
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Go testing package, JUnit, pytest)
- Understanding of mocking and stubbing techniques
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git or similar)
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or any containerization technology

- A full-time level of engagement is expected throughout the internship. Interns should be prepared to contribute at a full working-day pace. Flexibility may be discussed with the mentor to accommodate classes or exams, but overall performance and engagement are crucial.
