Join our Legal team on a 12-month contract as a Legal Investigations Counsel. You'll work closely with Compliance on high-impact investigation case files, shaping how legal risk and regulatory reporting are handled, and helping to define how Legal and Compliance work together. Responsibilities
- Conduct legal review of Compliance investigation case files for risk and regulatory issues
- Analyze regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate filings
- Help define and refine roles and responsibilities between Compliance and Legal counterparts in the investigation process
- Track case volume and turnaround against SLAs; support resource capacity planning
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privilege protections on all escalated matters
- Provide ad hoc legal analysis and support as directed by the Legal team
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with 5-8 years of experience
- Law firm background with hands-on experience conducting investigations — any investigation practice area considered, as long as investigations are the core of the experience
- Strong analytical and written communication skills; able to produce clear, well-structured case assessments
- Comfortable handling sensitive, high-volume casework under deadlines
