As an IO Engineering Manager, you will oversee operations in the production environment at Unifonic. This leadership role will direct dynamic teams, including tech operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), and on-call engineers, focused on building and maintaining secure, scalable, and robust infrastructure platforms. Your guidance will strengthen reliability, security, and operational excellence across the company.
Beyond technical oversight, this role involves active engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. You will interact with customers and governmental bodies during audits, ensuring transparency and compliance. Additionally, you'll collaborate with SMS and carrier operations teams to manage vendor relationships for smooth operational workflows and consistent service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and administer secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
- Enforce security best practices in line with internal and industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate with security and on-call teams for proactive incident management.
- Maintain critical platform services including Ingress, VPN, Logging, and Monitoring.
- Develop automation and self-service tools to streamline Kubernetes usage.
- Oversee the lifecycle management of various databases and message brokers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cloud platform, SRE, and tech ops teams.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- At least 3 years of experience managing cloud or platform engineering teams.
- Demonstrated expertise with Kubernetes and cloud-native application management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and familiarity with SMS industry (a plus).
- Deep understanding of major cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform) and related services.
- Exceptional leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Insight into cloud security compliance frameworks and proven success scaling engineering teams.
