As an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager, you will lead a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services activities, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery. This position requires managing a team across different time zones located in the Americas, EMEA, or APAC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers, from graduate to senior levels, focusing on Presales and Professional Services.
- Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and establishing trust as an advisor.
- Work remotely within a single major time zone.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to team members.
- Identify and measure team health indicators.
- Implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Develop and promote effective engineering and organizational practices.
- Plan and manage progress on agreed goals and projects.
- Collaborate actively as part of the leadership team with other leaders.
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or similar).
- Strong Linux experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu.
- Proficiency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience in managing a small team.
- Background in customer engagements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and curiosity.
- Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Ability to effectively communicate the business benefits of technology.
- A humble learner and quick study.
Desirable Traits:
- RTOS experience.
- Additional languages, both programming and human languages.
- Previous experience in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
