Our mission in IoT is to provide the base Ubuntu OS and kernel, with secure update and management mechanisms, helping our customers create critical control systems and appliances that meet stringent quality and security requirements. The role requires a blend of technical expertise and people management skills, with a focus on team development and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers, focusing on Presales and Professional Services.
- Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and serving as a trusted advisor.
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback to team members.
- Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Develop and advocate for best engineering practices.
- Participate actively in the leadership team to align on strategic goals and projects.
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic track record with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux and familiarity with Linux distributions, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust).
- Experience managing a team and engaging with customers.
- Professional written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
- A result-oriented mindset with a drive to meet commitments and communicate the business benefits of technology.
Desirable Traits:
- Experience with RTOS.
- Previous experience in a remote-first, diverse, distributed company.
