We are seeking an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services. In this role, you will assist customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery. Our goal is to empower companies to create secure connected devices, leveraging Ubuntu's base operating system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers across Presales and Professional Services.
- Solve customer problems by promoting our technologies and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Work remotely within a single major time zone.
- Coach and mentor team members while providing career development feedback.
- Identify and measure team health indicators and implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Plan and manage progress on set goals and projects.
- Collaborate actively with the leadership team.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or similar) and Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust).
- Experience managing a small team and engaging with customers.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a result-oriented mindset.
Desirable Traits:
- RTOS experience.
- Fluency in additional languages (programming and human).
- Previous experience in a remote-first, diverse, and distributed company.
