We are hiring an IoT Solutions Architecture Manager to lead a regionally-focused team of Field Engineers involved in Presales and Professional Services activities, assisting customers with solution architecture, design, and delivery.
The role involves leading and developing a team of Field Engineers, solving customer problems, coaching, mentoring, and representing your team and product to stakeholders. You will engage in customer interactions, promote technologies as a trusted advisor, and implement disciplined engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of Field Engineers in Presales and Professional Services
- Solve customer problems by promoting Canonical technologies
- Coach, mentor, and provide career development feedback
- Identify and measure team health indicators
- Represent your team to stakeholders, partners, and customers
- Collaborate actively as part of the leadership team
What We Are Looking For:
- Exceptional academic track record
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Extensive experience with embedded Linux (Yocto or similar)
- Proficiency in Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
- Fluency in at least one programming language: Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
- Experience managing a small team and engaging with customers
- Professional written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, and accountability
Additional Desirable Traits:
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Knowledge of additional programming and spoken languages
- Experience working in a remote-first, diverse, and distributed environment
