IPTV & Master Clock System Engineer

About the Role
The position involves providing advanced diagnostics at system, application, and infrastructure levels. The goal is to ensure seamless operation and permanent resolution of issues through effective root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable fixes. You will be responsible for managing OEM back-to-back support cases while adhering to ticketing and SLA frameworks, alongside maintaining critical systems and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced diagnostics at system, application, and infrastructure levels.
• Perform root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
• Manage OEM back-to-back support cases within the applicable ticketing and SLA framework.
• Manage system configurations, firmware, software maintenance, manufacturer releases, and upgrades.
• Maintain technical design documents, SOPs, and knowledge-base information.
• Provide technical assessments to the Change Advisory Board for system changes.
• Maintain IPTV encoders, servers, endpoints, displays/signage, and related infrastructure.
• Maintain master-clock distribution systems and ensure accurate synchronization across connected systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with relevant systems in a comparable environment.
• VITEC and Mobatime product training, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with IPTV, AV systems, and time-distribution/master-clock systems.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Strong knowledge of IPTV distribution architecture, encoders, servers, endpoints, and signage systems.
• Knowledge of master/slave clock distribution and synchronization and strong diagnostic and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Experience coordinating with OEMs and managing escalations.
• Strong documentation and technical mentoring capability.
