The IT Site Support Engineer for the company is responsible for providing IT support to associates in Bangalore (IDC) Sites. This includes PC hardware and software support, infrastructure support and maintenance, network monitoring and maintenance, application support, and local telecommunication support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the overall planning of changes or upgrades and implementing them.
- Supporting projects for other sites and/or on a regional level.
- Installing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining PC hardware, MS operating systems, and software.
- Providing support for the O365 platform (SharePoint, OneDrive, Power BI, etc.).
- Offering phone, e-mail/instant messaging, and hands-on support to associates.
- Maintaining records of incidents and requests in ticketing systems.
- Troubleshooting incidents related to computer systems, hardware, software, messaging, network, printers, telephony, peripheral equipment, and accessories.
- Working with infrastructure support teams and external contractors to install, configure, and deploy servers, network hardware, and other infrastructure equipment.
- Maintaining an asset inventory of computers, infrastructure equipment, communication lines, applications, etc.
- Managing vendors and contracts.
- Assisting with the formulation of the IT budget and coordinating the procurement of IT hardware and accessories.
