IT API Integration Engineer

the company is an Engineering and Recruitment Services Company operating in the Middle East from Dubai. We are seeking an experienced IT API Integration Engineer to join one of the region's leading insurance groups. The role will support the design, development, security, deployment, and lifecycle management of APIs across multiple insurance business lines and digital platforms.

The API Engineer will be in charge of designing and developing APIs, documenting them, and managing their lifecycle from non-production to production and disaster recovery environments. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with various consumers and providers on the API platform.
• Working on various verticals including Health APIs, Property & Casualty APIs, Corporate APIs, Regulatory APIs, Digital APIs, Data APIs, and others.
• Ensuring developments align with architecture and information security best practices.
• Documenting integrations development and revisions.

Profile / Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in API Development, REST APIs, SOAP Services.
• Knowledgeable in API security, API Management, and API Gateway solutions (e.g., WSO2, Apigee, IBM API Connect).
• Experience with AWS cloud and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with the insurance domain or large technology/consulting companies is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Experience in developing web applications using popular web frameworks.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies like Git flow, Jenkins, Nexus.
