About the Role
The IT Application Support Administrator I is responsible for implementing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting IT applications and systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT application administration, support, and operational requests.
  • Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and reliable operation of IT applications and computer systems across the organization.
  • Manage day-to-day application support activities, respond to operational requests, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide assistance to various user groups.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, messages, and helpdesk requests in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), work instructions, and established IT processes.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents to restore services quickly, preferably at the First Point of Contact (FPOC).
  • Monitor, track, update, and appropriately escalate active tickets when issues cannot be resolved within the required support level or timeframe.
  • Provide support for desktop applications, workstations, and internal IT systems, while efficiently addressing issues with minimal disruption to employees.
  • Identify recurring problems, investigate root causes, and contribute to preventing similar incidents in the future.
  • Research and communicate effective solutions to application and software-related issues, guiding users through troubleshooting steps.
  • Assist employees with setting up IT applications and resolving technical issues.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved directly to appropriate internal teams, such as software development, infrastructure, or specialized IT teams.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple open incidents and requests while maintaining communication and follow-up with affected users.
  • Support the rollout and implementation of new systems and internal applications, assist with patches, and manage anti-virus deployment.
  • Accurately record and maintain all IT requests, incidents, and support activities within the designated ticketing system.
  • Create and maintain application documentation, process workflows, technical notes, and user or support manuals to ensure they are updated with system, process, or configuration changes.
  • Contribute technical documentation and relevant specifications to support the planning, implementation, enhancement, or upgrade of IT applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure technical knowledge is properly documented and accessible for effective service delivery.

  • Follow all relevant company and IT policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and service standards to ensure daily activities are controlled, consistent, and effective.
  • Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across IT support processes and practices to enhance service quality, efficiency, user experience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain a high-performance working environment and promote company values consistently.

Main Contacts

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across the organization, including employees, IT Operations, Technology teams, software and application teams, and other relevant departments.
  • Communicate with external partners, vendors, and service providers when required to support the resolution of IT application and system-related issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT application support, IT helpdesk, system administration, technical support, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IT troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to investigate issues, identify appropriate solutions, and implement workarounds to restore services.
  • Creative and analytical thinking to find alternative solutions when standard approaches do not resolve issues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple requests simultaneously, and prioritize tasks according to business impact and urgency.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills for regular interaction with end users and internal stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical field.
