What You'll Do:
As an IT Cloud Operations Engineering Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and enhancing cloud infrastructure through server operations, resource lifecycle management, automation, observability, security, and cost optimization.
- Deploying patches and upgrades, provisioning and scaling systems, monitoring data flows, investigating operational discrepancies, and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support our cloud infrastructure.
- Developing dashboards, reports, procedures, and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency and service resilience.
- Collaborating with Technical Services, Technical Operations, cloud infrastructure, database, and security teams to resolve incidents, identify root causes, improve processes, and research AI-driven solutions for monitoring, analysis, automation, governance, and decision-making.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Deploying scheduled and emergency patches and upgrades with minimal service disruption.
- Provisioning, maintaining, configuring, and scaling cloud servers and systems for performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Monitoring high-availability environments, data flows, and operational health using AI-powered observability and predictive analytics.
- Participating in the 24/7 on-call rotation, responding to outages using standard procedures, and implementing corrective actions based on root-cause analysis.
- Automating repetitive operational tasks and maintaining dashboards, reports, procedures, server inventory, and governance controls.
- Monitoring cloud costs and identifying optimization opportunities using AI-driven analytics, predictive thresholds, and FinOps practices.
What You'll Bring to This Role:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in IT or cloud operations.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, server and infrastructure management, IP networking, network security, firewalls, and load balancing in cloud environments.
- Experience maintaining applications in Linux and Windows environments and working with cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS, preferably Google Cloud or AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
- Experience with database administration, query analysis, and performance tuning across technologies such as MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, log collection and analysis, GitHub or GitLab, AIOps, AI/ML platforms, generative AI tools, and AI-driven security or cost optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and multitasking skills; cloud or IT certifications such as GCP or AWS certifications are preferred.
