Responsibilities:

IT Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the IT strategy for the financial services business, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and regulatory requirements. Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance the firm's financial services offerings. Collaborate with business leaders to define IT requirements and ensure technology supports key business goals.

Technology Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. Ensure IT systems comply with industry regulations (e.g., SAMA, SEC, Basel III) and security standards.

Project Management & Delivery: Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions that support business growth. Monitor project performance and mitigate risks to ensure seamless execution.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Oversee IT risk management, cybersecurity, and data protection strategies for the financial services division. Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure the security of financial systems and protect against emerging threats.

Vendor Management & Stakeholder Collaboration: Manage relationships with external vendors, including software providers and consultants. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, and Compliance, to deliver technology solutions that meet business needs. Ensure compliance with all necessary controls and related information security policies.
Qualifications:
- A tertiary level qualification from a recognized institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Industry-recognized certifications, such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, or others specific to IT and financial services.
Experience:
- Recommended 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience demonstrating required competencies.
- Strong knowledge of financial services technology, including core banking systems, trading platforms, regulatory compliance, and fintech innovations.
- Expertise in system integration, platform migration, and upgrade management for banking and trading platforms.
- Proven ability to oversee the full lifecycle of technology projects specific to financial services.
- Experience with vendor management and negotiating with third-party service providers.
