IT Governance Specialist

The company is seeking an IT Governance Specialist responsible for ensuring effective governance, compliance, and risk management within IT. The ideal candidate will develop and update IT policies and standards in alignment with national frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 38500, and ITIL. Key responsibilities include:

  Governance & Compliance:

  • Develop IT policies and monitor adherence across departments.
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior leadership.

• Risk Management:

  • Identify and document IT risks in coordination with Cybersecurity and operational teams.
  • Implement and monitor risk mitigation plans.

• IT Strategy & Portfolio Alignment:

  • Support IT Strategy development and evaluate projects for alignment with strategic goals.

• Quality & Performance:

  • Develop KPIs to measure IT governance effectiveness and report on service performance.

• Documentation & Audits:

  • Maintain governance documentation and coordinate with auditors to ensure audit readiness.

• Digital Government Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with national digital government requirements and support initiatives for Digital Government Maturity.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in IT governance, compliance, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of COBIT, ITIL, ISO 38500, ISO 27001, ISO 20000.
• Familiarity with national cybersecurity and digital governance standards (NESA, TDRA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports for senior leadership.

Preferred Certifications:

• COBIT Foundation
• ITIL 4 Foundation
• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
• CGEIT or similar (added advantage)
