IT Infrastructure Architect

About the Role
We are currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect for our UAE operations, responsible for designing comprehensive infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions. This position requires an expert in enterprise architecture within large, complex organizations. The successful candidate will lead initiatives for cloud architecture and infrastructure modernization while ensuring security and compliance across various environments.

Qualifications
Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 12+ years of experience across infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity domains
• 5+ years in enterprise or solution architecture roles within large, complex organizations

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with a proven track record as a Solution Architect in large-scale security and enterprise infrastructure implementation projects
• Hands-on knowledge of enterprise application frameworks (.NET Core, Java Spring, Node.js)
• Experience with cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for compute, storage, and databases
• Familiarity with event streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency in data platform tools: Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.
• Experience in designing APIs, microservices, and modern integration patterns
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, and infrastructure-as-code
• Background in Agile/SAFE methodologies and digital transformation programs
• Experience in data security and privacy frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
• Ability to present architecture to architecture review boards (ARBs), executive stakeholders, and delivery teams
• Mentor developers, solution designers, and junior architects on modern application/data stack
• Experience in developing and maintaining architectural documentation, roadmaps, and reference models

Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture:

• Define target state infrastructure architecture across data centers, networks, compute, storage, and end-user platforms
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including data center optimization, virtualization, and platform rationalization
• Ensure design and governance of high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity architectures
• Establish infrastructure standards, patterns, and reference architectures
• Design and govern cloud architecture across Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Define and implement cloud landing zones, including account/subscription structure, network segmentation, IAM models, logging, and shared services
• Architect hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity utilizing VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, FastConnect, and SD-WAN technologies
• Guide cloud migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, re-architect) ensuring security, resilience, and cost optimization
• Drive FinOps practices, cloud cost governance, and performance optimization
• Establish cloud resiliency patterns, including multi-AZ, multi-region, backup, and DR strategies

Cyber Security Architecture (Next-Generation Platforms):

• Define end-to-end cybersecurity architecture across on-premises and cloud environments
• Architect Zero Trust security models covering identity, device, network, and application layers
• Design and govern next-generation security platforms, including:
  • Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
  • Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) / SSE
  • Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
  • Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP)
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
  • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR / XDR)
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and encryption platforms
• Define security controls for cloud services such as encryption at rest and in transit, key management, secrets management, and secure APIs
• Partner with SOC teams on SIEM/SOAR integration, threat detection, and incident response architecture
• Act as the architectural authority for infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity decisions
• Provide architectural oversight and guidance for critical IT projects, ensuring adherence to defined frameworks and best practices
