The IT Infrastructure Engineer contributes to the specification, design, implementation, testing, and support of the IT infrastructure in assigned projects within the UAE. This role involves ensuring the delivery of project deliverables related to IT infrastructure, including system requirements, design documents, requests for quotations, installation and maintenance procedures, and test procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze user and system requirements; derive and specify requirements for the IT and HW infrastructure.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Integration & Test teams to define implementation specifications.
- Work with the CAD team to provide inputs for single-line, wiring, and installation drawings.
- Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to define hardware specifications and scopes of work.
- Follow up on production, acceptance tests, and delivery.
- Manage obsolescence and present requirements to the Infrastructure team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and prepare necessary documentation.
- Conduct training for peers and customers, and attend site surveys.
- Specify test procedures and conduct hardware and installation acceptance tests.
- Ensure compliance with hardware and safety audits.
Technologies:
- RS232, RS422, and discrete signaling
- Ethernet and electrical cabling
- Network technologies: Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Fortinet, Dell
- Datacenters: Power systems, structured cabling, and standards (TIA-942)
- Military radios or professional mobile radios
Work Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a technical design capacity (IT/HW engineering).
- Experience with radio communication systems (VHF/UHF communications).
- Proven experience in leading engineering activities through design lifecycles and installations, preferably in the military or defense industry.
- Understanding of EMC fundamentals, low voltage directive, CE marking.
- Proficiency in server, storage, virtualization, and network domains.
- Experience in implementing IT security controls (endpoint protection, PKI, etc.).
- Familiarity with the full IT Infrastructure project lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, installation, testing, handover).
Qualification and Educational Requirements:
- BSc in computer science or equivalent qualification.
- Qualifications in IT Infrastructure subsystems (network, communication, data center, virtualization, etc.).
- Preferred certifications in VMware, Linux System Administration.
- High fluency in spoken and written English; French and/or Arabic would be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical document writing and requirements management.
- Good technical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplined technology environment and coordinate with external contractors and suppliers.
- Customer-facing skills (meetings/presentations).
