Key Responsibilities:

  1. Secure Development Environment

    • Implement access control, endpoint security, and data protection.
    • Ensure compliance with defense-grade security practices (OpSec / air-gapped options).
  2. Infrastructure & Systems

    • Deploy and maintain on-prem servers & storage, firewalls, VPNs, and secure gateways.
    • Implement backup & disaster recovery systems.
    • Support high availability and performance.
  3. Engineering Support

    • Enable environments for embedded systems development, simulation (SIL/HIL setups), and flight control software workflows.
    • Manage tools like version control, CI/CD, and artifact storage.
  4. Cybersecurity & Risk Mitigation

    • Protect against data breaches, IP leakage, and external threats.
    • Conduct vulnerability assessments and enforce security policies.
    • Monitor and respond to incidents.
  5. IT Operations & Support

    • Manage end-user systems (limited, controlled devices).
    • Support internal teams (engineering, production, admin).
    • Ensure minimal downtime and fast issue resolution.
  6. Vendor & Solution Management

    • Evaluate and manage IT vendors and subcontractors.

Key Profile:

  • Strong background in network architecture & cybersecurity, Linux/Windows server environments, and secure DevOps/DevSecOps.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-security environments is highly preferred.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on “Secure by design” and enabling speed rather than blocking it.
  • Hands-on, startup mentality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system integration, software development, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with APIs, web services, and data formats (JSON, XML).
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Experience with integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar).
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data mapping techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience integrating UAV systems, IoT platforms, or real-time data environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and secure data exchange.
  • Experience working in defense, aerospace, or high-tech R&D environments.
