IT Manager

About the Role
As a member of the property management staff, you will contribute advanced knowledge and skills in technology and the general hospitality business to support the property and technology Information Resources objectives. This position is responsible for all technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance at the property. You may manage property systems technicians and will interface with vendors, owners, the Executive Committee, and property staff.

Responsibilities
Ensuring Client Technology Needs are Met

• Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Monitor, verify, and manage the acquisition and maintenance of property-based systems.
• Analyze information, identify current and potential problems, and propose solutions.
• Maintain, inspect, and repair equipment.
• Inspect and verify the maintenance of equipment or the environment.
• Monitor computer and network operations at the property, perform backup/recovery functions on a scheduled basis, and maintain administration functions for hardware, operating and application systems consistently.
• Manage IR activities to ensure that property infrastructure and application systems are functional at all times.
• Verify that solutions are consistent with client needs and the brand-specific IR environment.
• Administer and maintain mail and email services.
• Maintain inventories and manage IT hardware/software.
• Provide Internet support and maintenance (if applicable) and cable management support.
• Generate systems communications for property users to introduce new applications, provide user tips, alert users of system problems, and inform staff of progress or status.
• Consult on specific application issues or hardware/software problems.
• Provide feedback to Lodging IR on application functional performance and system performance.

Managing Projects and Policies

• Use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
• Monitor processes and evaluate information according to SOP and LSOP requirements.
• Enforce IR policies and standards protecting company hardware, software, and other resources at the property.
• Direct maintenance of equipment and installed software application inventory for property, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations.

Maintaining Information Systems and Technology Goals

• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
• Perform an assessment of needs, ensuring compliance with brand-specific standards, budget, and capital requirements.
• Determine priorities, schedules, plans, and necessary resources to ensure the completion of any property projects on schedule and according to specifications.
• Verify that problems are correctly reported, routed, tracked, and solved, keeping the system user informed of the situation at all times.
• Verify proper asset management.
• Perform on-site monitoring of all projects.
• Ensure regular ongoing communication in all areas of responsibility to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations, recognize performance, and produce desired business results.

Candidate Profile
Education and Experience

• BS/BA or equivalent work experience, along with 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Previous experience in IR Global Field Services or the company Systems Support is desirable.
• System-related professional certifications are desired.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Coordinate property efforts, prioritize needs, and communicate those needs to IR Shared Services and other systems staff.
• Manage vendors for property IT requirements, functioning as an escalation point for problem resolution.
