Your Impact
As an IT Manager, you will:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of IT processes for Ocean Cay.
  • Oversee end-to-end ship-to-shore technologies while ships are docked at Ocean Cay.
  • Troubleshoot and respond to outages or failures that occur, including on embarkation and disembarkation days.
  • Assist in planning contingency measures for IT operations on the island.
  • Work with IT and business management to gather requirements for IT service programs, including crisis recovery.
  • Ensure effective communication between IT Operations, Ocean Cay Operations, and ship operations, particularly when it affects ship schedules.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors supporting infrastructure, hardware, and networking at Ocean Cay.
  • Provide reports to IT management regarding facility preparedness and IT service support viability.
  • Regularly update senior IT management on the current status of operations through real-time communication and periodic reports.
  • Collaborate in managing documentation for internal processes effectively.

Your Journey So Far
To be successful, you should have:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft and/or Linux, Security+, Network+, CISCO CCNA or similar.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Preferred experience within cruise or hospitality operations.
  • Basic understanding of ship-to-shore networking; IT infrastructure and networking.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Domains and IT monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, topology, and back-end architecture.
  • Skills to maintain the island’s network and Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring redundancy.
  • Proficiency in PC and MAC hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.
  • Experience in resolving office application issues, including the Office365 suite and various productivity tools.
  • Willingness and ability to live on the island for specific periods.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate ship operations on weekends and off-hours.
