IT Manager

About the Role
As a key member of the team, you will report to the Director of Finance and play a crucial role in operational IT management within the hotel. Your responsibilities encompass leading IT projects, managing relationships with hotel executives and department heads, and ensuring compliance with IT policies. You will be a vital resource in planning, budgeting, and maintaining the technological infrastructure that supports the hotel’s operations.

What You Will Be Doing:
Your essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Management:

• Responsible for operational IT management, including relationship management with Hotel GMs, EXCOM, HODs, and other business-critical users.
• Manage proper business planning and budgeting of IT expenditures for the hotel, ensuring compliance with the company IT policies and guidelines.
• Create compelling business cases to justify investments and expenditures, facilitating the approval process.
• Provide regular status reports on the hotel's IT situation to the GM and Area IT Director.
• Initiate and manage IT projects and consult with the GM on strategic IT matters concerning the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with PCI DSS & GDPR.

Hardware Management:

• Collaborate with company Hardware partners and maintain good relationships with them.
• Support the hotel in resolving hardware issues by escalating problems with hardware partners.
• Oversee all hardware components, including computers, servers, routers, switches, PABX, POS devices, and other active components.

Software Management:

• Ensure that all company IT policies and guidelines are properly implemented in the hotel.
• Guarantee that only original and licensed software applications are in use, following IT management policies.
• Maintain relationships with software suppliers and support the hotel in resolving software issues by escalating problems as necessary.

User Management:

• Control user access to programs, ensuring employees have access only to the tools necessary to perform their jobs.
• Develop and maintain training programs in coordination with the Learning & Development department, ensuring employees utilize systems effectively.

Security / Data Safety:

• Ensure the hotel complies with company IT Security Policy and General Data Protection regulations.
• Manage the backup of all relevant user-generated data, ensuring the highest level of security is maintained.
• Oversee servers, networks, property management systems (PMS), sales & catering systems, and related applications to ensure seamless operations.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Achieve smooth operation of all computer systems and provide training on user software.
• Keep IT management informed about new computer trends and technologies.
• Regularly perform data backups and ensure compliance with IT policies and guidelines.
• Manage budgeting, planning, and the approval process for IT expenditures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an international hotel brand.
• Strategic mindset with a results-driven approach, process-oriented, and detail-focused.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate a team, and provide clear guidance towards achieving goals.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
• Strong listening skills with the capacity to anticipate business needs, fostering relationships with business partners.
• Fluent in English.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, able to navigate through challenges and prioritize workflows effectively.
• Strong decision-making abilities and remain calm under pressure.
