We’re seeking a driven IT Manager to join our Fulfillment & Operations IT team, who keep our busy Fulfillment Centers running 24/7. In this role, you will:
- Resolve complex hardware, software, server, and infrastructure issues.
- Ensure that IT maintenance work and troubleshooting is carried out to a high standard following all Amazon policies and guidelines, specifically IT and Health & Safety.
- Lead the coordination of trouble tickets and change management to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Oversee team projects and support technical task execution while ensuring effective internal customer satisfaction.
- Manage the IT budget and facilitate skill development for Fulfillment Center staff.
- Schedule staff and team hours/shifts.
- Drive continuous improvement of IT team processes and initiatives.
Requirements
- A technical Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is necessary.
- Previous management experience in an operations or logistics environment as an IT or ICT Manager, or as an IT Service Delivery Manager.
- Experience in Linux/Unix support and/or Microsoft Windows support.
- Networking knowledge and expertise, specifically LAN/WAN and wireless.
- Comfortable with IT infrastructure, including data cabling and other fundamental aspects of computer facilities infrastructure.
- Experience in developing, lobbying for, owning, and managing IT budgets, including staff, hardware, and software.
- Effective project management skills and ability to interact with all seniority levels.
- Strong analytical skills and validated problem-solving ability.
- Occasional travel will be required.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations.
- 2+ years of leading technology teams as an information technology operations manager.
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience.
- Knowledge of Linux or Unix systems administration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of hardware architectures.
- Experience with system management tools and client/server environments.
