Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Manager to join our team! The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the information technology infrastructure and operations within an organization. They lead a team of IT professionals, manage IT projects, and ensure the efficient and secure functioning of technology systems. The IT Manager collaborates with other departments to understand their technology needs, develops IT strategies, and implements solutions to support the organization's objectives.
“What You’ll Be Doing”
- Lead and manage the IT department, including supervising and mentoring IT staff, setting departmental goals, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization's goals and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to assess technology needs and requirements, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and security.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of hardware, software, networks, and systems infrastructure.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data, systems, and information by implementing appropriate security measures and protocols.
- Plan and manage IT projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with external technology service providers.
- Monitor and analyze technology trends and developments, and make recommendations for technology upgrades and enhancements.
- Develop and implement IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff members, troubleshooting issues and ensuring prompt resolution.
“What Desired Skills You’ll Bring”
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or another related field
- Several years of experience in working as an IT Manager or similar role
- Vast experience in leading large IT projects and implementing IT infrastructure across various technologies
- Excellent knowledge of networks, security, computer systems, and database storage systems
- Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None
