Your Day to Day
Every day in this role brings unique challenges and responsibilities. However, your main tasks will generally involve:
- Acting as the primary contact for servicing computer hardware, ensuring systems are installed correctly and functioning efficiently, with regular updates to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Business Support, and Area IT Leader.
- Staying current with all approved systems and technology, including LAN and POS systems.
- Maintaining hardware and software performance, adhering to digital and physical security standards, and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Sharing your expertise with the hotel team through knowledge sharing and training sessions.
- Protecting the IT infrastructure from cyber threats to ensure robust security measures are in place.
What We Need From You
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following:
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of related experience in computer setup and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of networks, operating systems, and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive, responsible, and hardworking nature, with the ability to work under pressure and be a team player.
