Position

As an IT Operations Engineer at the company, you will play a crucial role in powering our company’s IT capacity. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining over 1,100 endpoints (90% Mac / 10% Linux), on-prem servers, and a sophisticated network spanning 4 continents. The IT Operations team is an integral part of our larger Security team, working closely with security-minded professionals to develop secure-by-design systems.

Responsibilities

  • Automation: Identify repetitive tasks and create automation and AI-driven workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Infrastructure Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain systems to ensure security, stability, and scalability.
  • Connectivity: Ensure reliable LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN and site-to-site networking across global offices.
  • Endpoint Management: Utilize MDM to deploy software, enforce configurations, and ensure compliance in various locations.
  • Onboarding Support: Prepare equipment, access, and training for new hires to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Tool Selection: Collaborate with vendors to identify optimal hardware/software/SaaS solutions for various use cases.
  • Global Collaboration: Work with team members, other departments, and vendors to resolve technical issues across different time zones.

Requirements

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network/internet issues.
  • Familiarity with network appliances such as FortiGate firewalls, Aruba access points, and switching technology (Cisco, pfSense, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of macOS or Linux, including security features.
  • Ability to develop and maintain automation solutions (scripts, workflows, integrations), with comfort in using AI tools.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Resourceful and adaptable with the ability to work across diverse cultures and time zones.

Bonus Skills

  • Coding/automation experience, particularly with Python, Ansible, shell scripting, or similar tools that facilitate automation.
