Your work will directly contribute to maintaining over 1,100 endpoints (90% Mac / 10% Linux), on-prem servers, and a sophisticated network spanning 4 continents. Responsibilities
- Automation: Identify repetitive tasks and create automation and AI-driven workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Infrastructure Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain systems to ensure security, stability, and scalability.
- Connectivity: Ensure reliable LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN and site-to-site networking across global offices.
- Endpoint Management: Utilize MDM to deploy software, enforce configurations, and ensure compliance in various locations.
- Onboarding Support: Prepare equipment, access, and training for new hires to ensure smooth onboarding.
- Tool Selection: Collaborate with vendors to identify optimal hardware/software/SaaS solutions for various use cases.
- Global Collaboration: Work with team members, other departments, and vendors to resolve technical issues across different time zones.
Requirements
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and network/internet issues.
- Familiarity with network appliances such as FortiGate firewalls, Aruba access points, and switching technology (Cisco, pfSense, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of macOS or Linux, including security features.
- Ability to develop and maintain automation solutions (scripts, workflows, integrations), with comfort in using AI tools.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Resourceful and adaptable with the ability to work across diverse cultures and time zones.
Bonus Skills
- Coding/automation experience, particularly with Python, Ansible, shell scripting, or similar tools that facilitate automation.
