IT Operations Engineer (Outsource)

The IT Operations Engineer (Outsource) will monitor the performance of on-shift operators and provide assistance as needed. The role involves educating system operators about their roles and executing daily operational tasks of the IT Back Office as outlined by the IT Operations manual. Key responsibilities also include monitoring IT systems for problems, executing backup operations, and enhancing existing operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist on-shift operators and educate them regarding their roles, responsibilities, and authority.
• Execute daily operation tasks (Start of Day & End of Day) for Core Banking and Branch Automation as per the IT Operations manual.
• Participate in the implementation of operation procedures related to Banking Applications and escalate issues to specialists as necessary.
• Enhance controls in end-of-day processing to minimize risk and improve performance.
• Supervise daily, monthly, and infinite backup tapes according to ADIB Backup Policy.
• Monitor environmental conditions in Data Centers, reporting any service interruptions to management.
• Monitor performance of computer systems and coordinate preventive maintenance with hardware vendors.
• Check and report on the status of ATMs, Call Centers, and other delivery channels, escalating issues as required.
• Document and escalate incidents related to system availability and performance.
• Maintain and update documented processes related to job functions and inform document owners of necessary changes.
• Generate and encrypt monthly customer statements for printing.
• Ensure adherence to ITD and Bank policies, particularly regarding information security.

Requirements

• 4 to 5 years of experience in IT (preferably in IT Operations)
• Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure required
• Strong incident documentation skills and ability to implement automation for responsibilities
