About the Job
The IT Operations Manager, Data Center is responsible for the daily operation maintenance and service management of the computer room within the jurisdiction. This role requires balancing service quality, efficiency, cost, and safety based on the actual situation of the IDC, with a focus on continuous optimization to support the department's business operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to incidents and handling risk events related to Ali IDC, ensuring controllable operational risks such as IDC changes and faults are managed effectively.
  • Establishing efficient cooperative relations with local government departments to meet compliance operation requirements.
  • Providing on-site technical support for business equipment, understanding business needs and network structure, and facilitating operation project implementations between teams.
  • Building a talent echelon, conducting capacity training, managing risk, fostering team culture, and assessing the on-site operation and maintenance team at the IDC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in global large data center operations (10+MW), including leadership of a management team with over 15 members.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Center IT operations.
  • Functional understanding of cloud technologies and architectures, as well as IT service delivery principles and best practices.
  • Highly self-driven with advanced problem analysis and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with data center construction procedures.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (25% to 50%+ at times).
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Arabic is advantageous for coordination with HQ in China.
