IT Operations & Support Engineer

About the job

• Join the Emirates Group IT Team in Dubai and become an IT Operations & Support Engineer.
• Address customer issues and resolve incidents and problems to provide superior service to internal and external customers.
• Analyze trends of reported incidents and provide solutions to minimize disruptions and meet Service Level Objectives and targets.
• Coordinate with application vendors and service providers to ensure quick incident resolution and smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing issues and risks.
• Follow processes and procedures in line with EG-IT policies.
• Collaborate with technical teams to reduce recurring incidents and improve system availability.
• Provide feedback to developers for fast incident resolution and ensure best practices in deployment projects and upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, or Information Technology with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Specialization in application support within an IT operational environment.
• Extensive experience in systems, operations, and similar size and complexity environments.
• Proficiency in service desk tools, ITSM, remote access, and knowledge resources.
• Technical certifications like MCSE, MCP, ITIL foundation are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience in application support, Java development, and database systems like SQL and Oracle.
