The jobholder leads a team responsible for establishing, governing, and managing enterprise-wide IT performance with the aim of ensuring that it is seamlessly integrated and aligned with the organization goals and objectives, drive improvements across IT core capabilities, a reduction in IT unit costs and maximize the IT resource utilization as well as ensuring the department is being run in line with industry standards. This role drives the business performance management culture across the IT organization and aligns IT executives on KPIs for their capabilities. Responsible to deliver information to IT Executives and stakeholders to make informed data-based decisions across IT core capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the governance, adoption & usage of our IT performance products including Apptio and Busla ensuring alignment to approved enterprise IT performance KPIs and reporting standards.
  • Drive transparency, insights, and improvements for the Business with the goal of enhancing the enterprise IT performance management capability across IT. Oversee the setting up of the IT performance department within IT, mature the performance framework and drive its adoption within the IT organization and the business.
  • Lead the department to provide cross-Technology support with the aim of developing a centre of excellence for performance governance across Value Streams and Department managers. Foster a collaborative, high-performance, friendly and passionate team environment, to ensure the retention of critical talent.
  • Collaborate with other Teams of Feature Teams and IT Capability Leads to suggest recommendations for data and operational improvements that impact data quality, IT performance, and/or help reduce unit costs. Track recommendations to completion through agreed governance forums.
  • Collate functional and business requirements and rapidly translate that information into a working set of operational and financial models, dashboards, and management reports. Collaborate with IT Management and Finance Partners on IT total cost of ownership, performance KPIs, financial metrics, and cost transparency initiatives.
  • Develop and nurture the team including cross skilling and upskilling across various disciplines in the team and propagating performance, financial, and governance practices.
  • Act as an ambassador to drive the culture of business performance management across the company group IT. Implement systematic and timely measurement & reporting of enterprise IT performance KPIs.
  • Provide insights and raise calls to action to the company Group IT executives and management in line with approved metrics, tracking agreed actions and benefits to closure.
  • Act as a Subject Matter expert on how IT Performance & insights integrates across capabilities and value streams supporting Organization Transformation and upholding running IT as a Business.

Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field (Postgraduate qualification in related field preferred e.g. MBA) ITIL certified Apptio, ETBMA Certified

To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Must have strong background in enterprise IT performance management and KPI-based operating models.
  • In-depth knowledge of the TBM model, including application of TBM for cost, performance, demand, and value transparency.
  • Relevant work experience in a large multinational Technology organization including line management experience, with exposure to enterprise-level performance governance and executive reporting.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills for financial modelling and analysis, including performance KPI definition, target setting, and benefits tracking.
  • Strong hands-on experience on Apptio Products. Strong to expert level skills and experience in formulaic logic such as MS Excel if statements, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, etc. to support KPI modelling, analysis, and automation.
  • Strong to expert skills in data transformation using MS Excel or Access; knowledge and application of relational database concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to executive management audiences as well as exec level interactions.
  • Data analytics and data mining as well as advanced analytical and big data analysis skills, applied to performance improvement identification and value realisation.
  • Previous experience working with scripting, report building, and automated performance and KPI reporting.
  • Well-versed with AGILE ways of working, including use of metrics and KPIs to measure flow, outcomes, and continuous improvement.
