Role Purpose
Project Manager is to oversee, optimize, and drive successful project outcomes by establishing effective project management practices, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and leading a team to deliver projects efficiently and within scope.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
- Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Provide oversight and governance for the project portfolio aligned with strategic objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project management professionals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and priorities.
- Optimize resource allocation across projects for efficient and timely delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes.
- Develop and implement project management policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to monitor project performance and compliance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and learning within the PMO.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide project updates.
- Analyze resource needs and work with relevant teams to address staffing requirements.
- Evaluate existing project management methodologies and tools for enhancements.
- Lead change management initiatives and process improvements.
- Manage corporate performance reports and track strategic and operational KPIs.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings to provide executive management updates.
Background, Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Proficient in project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Strong command of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address project challenges.
- Strategic thinking to align project objectives with organizational goals.
- Change management expertise to implement new methodologies and drive organizational change.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering, Master’s degree – Business Administration (MBA)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) - Mandatory
- Certified associate in project management (CAPM) - not mandatory
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) - not mandatory
