We are currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager - Cards to support our operations in Qatar. This position is designed for candidates with strong expertise in Cards, Banking Technology, and IT project delivery, particularly within the banking and financial services industry.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex IT projects related to Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Prepaid Cards, ePayments, and regulatory initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, card schemes, compliance teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within the agreed scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end IT project delivery including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and project closure.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with senior management, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners.
- Handle project risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and escalations.
- Maintain strong documentation, reporting, escalation, and change control practices in a structured governance environment.
- Foster vendor coordination and stakeholder management to ensure project objectives are met.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in banking IT environments.
Experience and Certification Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in IT Project Management, preferably in banking, financial services, cards, payments, or digital banking environments.
- PMP certification is required or strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in managing complex IT projects through all life cycle phases.
Cards and Banking Domain Knowledge
- Strong understanding of tokenization, PCI DSS, ePayments, digital wallets, and payment processing flows.
- Knowledge of card schemes, certifications, mandates, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, planning, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive approach to delivery.
