The IT Service Desk Agent will provide first level analytical and IT technical support remotely to end users of Parsons personal computers, workstations, and related software and hardware. Responsibilities include:

  • Answering end user IT questions and troubleshooting standard IT issues, problems, and failures with Parsons hardware, software, peripherals, or workstations via telephone, email, or Instant Messenger.
  • Recognizing, categorizing, and isolating end user questions, issues, and problems; either resolving the situation or referring it to more senior Service Desk staff or other Parsons IT groups.
  • Researching and developing solutions for standard software and hardware questions, issues, problems, and failures.
  • Maintaining a good general knowledge of the MIS environment and associated technologies.
  • Following Parsons policies, procedures, and standards in responding to end user requests.
  • Documenting and reporting all service requests and their outcomes per standard procedures.
  • Providing Service Desk on-call support for non-business hours (weekends and holidays).
  • Performing additional responsibilities as required.

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or Engineering degree.
  • 0-1 years of related work experience providing support to end users in an IT support role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, as well as personal computer technology, including various computer models, printers, and peripherals.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve common technical issues, questions, and problems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills suitable for an IT helpdesk role.
  • Must be a UAE National.
