Position

The company is seeking an IT Specialist to join the company Marine team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will support day-to-day IT operations across the company Marine office and vessels, ensuring stable systems, effective user support, and enabling the IT function to focus on higher value digital, operational technology, and smart vessel initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational IT Support: Deliver first- and second-line technical assistance to both office and vessel users. Manage routine service desk inquiries, incidents, and user requests; ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding experience for employees, maintaining consistent service quality and timely resolution of all support issues.

  • Business Applications and ERP Support: Provide end-user assistance for business applications and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve system issues efficiently. Manage user access, perform basic troubleshooting, and respond to functional inquiries.

  • Vessel Systems and Communications: Act as the primary IT point of contact for vessel systems and onboard technologies. Oversee vessel connectivity and communication infrastructure, and support the deployment, maintenance, and standardization of IT systems across the fleet.

  • IT Standards, Knowledge, and Enablement: Contribute to the development and continual improvement of the IT Service Management knowledge base, promote self-service solutions, and assist in maintaining IT processes aligned with ISO requirements.

  • Process Optimization & Service Support: Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities, support the IT Manager during escalations, and refine internal IT processes to enhance service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT helpdesk and network support.
  • Successful track record in implementing large-scale IT-related change programs.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with maritime software systems and applications.
