The primary purpose of this role is to support the company by providing hands-on technical assistance. The task incumbent will work collaboratively with company personnel at all levels for the replacement of hardware and the incorporation of software changes to company computer systems, including but not limited to the IETM program and AME system.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate company computer hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, repair, problem diagnosis, and implementation.
- Assist in handling requests and inquiries related to company computing, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and host system communications.
- Receive calls for assistance, installations, and general maintenance; log calls and take appropriate actions to ensure a satisfactory response within acceptable timeframes.
- Install, test, and maintain a variety of personal computing and network hardware and software systems; perform diagnostic tests, modify or repair hardware to the board or component level; gather and record relevant data related to these functions.
- Support a diverse user community, including company Officers, administrative staff, CMS personnel, and company Soldiers, in the proper application of existing or new company computer software and hardware systems; coordinate troubleshooting and basic repair requirements.
- Maintain a high level of PC knowledge and assist in recommending personal computing hardware, software systems, and host system data communications requirements.
- Interface with the CMS Site Manager and company Officers to establish and maintain a source of hardware systems, components, parts, and peripheral devices; resolve problems and provide training and in-service programs.
- Respond to a rapidly changing technical environment and user community requirements.
- Ensure a complete inventory of supplies and parts is maintained and that all shortages are ordered in a timely manner.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily schedules for all sites.
- Utilize personal computing hardware and software applications (word-processing, spreadsheet, database) to perform basic duties such as documentation, reporting, scheduling, and user support.
- Maintain an advanced and current level of technical knowledge and skills in personal computing and software architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Minimum Personnel Qualifications
- Equivalent of the completion of the twelfth grade and an Associate of Arts Degree in a computer-related technology, or equivalent experience.
- At least four (4) years’ experience in a hardware support capacity, with one (1) year in support of IETMs or AME environments.
- Knowledge of Windows, DOS, Novell, Windows 2003 and XP, Microsoft Office, troubleshooting tools, LANs, WANs, computing hardware repair, high-speed networking, and proper office methods and practices.
- Knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, PC Tablets, and experience with HP, Compaq, Dell workstations, and Panasonic CF-30 Toughbook computers.
- At least three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in a hardware and software support capacity in a user-oriented environment, including hardware experience with Windows/DOS systems, printers, modems, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Background in the installation and troubleshooting of desktop software applications is required.
- DBA for AME or IETM program is desired but not required.
- A+ certification is desired but not required.
- Naval Aviation environment experience is preferred.
- No security clearance is required.
