Position

As an IT Support Engineer, you will report to the IT Manager and work closely with the business, colleagues, and remote support teams to implement and maintain critical infrastructure elements. You will be an escalation point for IT Support Technicians and remote teams on technical issues, serving as an interface between these teams as necessary. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain IT infrastructure while confidently interfacing with senior management stakeholders across multiple business entities.
  • Ensure optimal performance of all IT equipment and infrastructure, meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for your home and remote sites.
  • Manage projects to implement changes and support evolving business and IT requirements, closely collaborating with fellow engineers and remote support teams.
  • Manage the availability of IT equipment, focusing on continuous improvement and cost reduction efficiencies.
  • Liaise with global SME teams for the installation and maintenance of networking and server infrastructure, adhering to the company standards.
  • Conduct site audits on technical infrastructure to ensure compliance with the latest company IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Represent the IT department in site meetings and be the escalation point for the business and other support functions.
  • Act as the main contact for contractors or external suppliers to communicate technical issues effectively.
  • Provide project management support, keeping stakeholders informed and maintaining project documentation.
  • Mentor and train technicians and engineers while acting as a technical contact for remote support teams.
  • Contribute to the paid on-call schedule for high severity incidents across your home site and other sites within your region.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in IT infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in managing and supporting complex IT systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in project management and executing technology changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multinational team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Conditions

  • Availability for occasional travel.
  • Participation in on-call support for high severity incidents as necessary.
