Position

As an IT Support Engineer, you will report to the IT Manager at your home site and will be responsible for working closely with the business, your colleagues, and remote support teams to implement and maintain critical infrastructure elements, as well as provide day-to-day support to meet our operations' present and future business needs. You will also serve as an escalation point for IT Support Technicians and operations on technical issues, interface confidently with senior management stakeholders across multiple business entities, and have opportunities to get involved in projects and innovate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain IT infrastructure while ensuring all IT equipment and infrastructure are running at optimum performance, meeting departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Run projects across the site, working closely with the business, fellow engineers, and remote support teams to implement changes/additions in technology infrastructure.
  • Manage the availability of all IT equipment and infrastructure, focusing on continuous improvement and cost reductions.
  • Liaise with global Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams for the installation and maintenance of networking and server infrastructure.
  • Represent the IT department in site meetings/conference calls and act as the point of contact for the business and other support functions.
  • Provide direction and support to IT Support Technicians regarding trouble tickets and action items.
  • Produce weekly reports covering metrics and work performed.
  • Mentor and train technicians and other engineers, providing assistance as the technical contact for remote support teams.
  • Support the recruitment of new talent into OpsTechIT.

Work Conditions

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Participate in the paid on-call schedule for high severity incidents.
