Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line IT support to staff and external clients, resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripheral devices.
- Monitor and maintain company IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and security systems.
- Document support procedures, incidents, and resolutions to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist with the implementation of updates, patches, and system upgrades to keep technology up-to-date and secure.
- Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support ongoing projects and technology initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and networking concepts.
- Experience with server management, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices for protecting IT infrastructure.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional are highly desirable.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar IT support role within the UAE.
- Physically fit engineers are required to ensure higher ability in vessel’s support.
