IT Support Engineer (NOC L1)

We are seeking an L1 NOC Network Security Engineer to join our IT operations team at VaporVM in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of network and security concepts and a strong desire to grow and develop their technical skills in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time, Shift work in a 24/7 environment, with participation in on-call rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and Incident Detection: Continuously monitor network and security using Solarwinds, respond to alerts and incidents, and escalate issues to L2 or L3 engineers as necessary.
• Initial Troubleshooting: Perform troubleshooting on network and security issues including switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, MPLS links, and WAN links.
• Incident Management: Categorize and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders and following up on escalated issues.
• Network and System Maintenance: Assist in routine maintenance including applying patches, updates, and performing health checks on critical devices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and generate performance reports.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years in large industry network and security operations monitoring.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting network/security devices; experienced in using monitoring tools (SolarWinds) and incident management systems (ServiceNow).
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical issues.
• Certifications: CISCO CCNA/Security or equivalent; Solarwinds certifications preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a 24/7 operations environment, preferably in a NOC.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of Digital & Cybersecurity service management processes.

Language Requirements: English proficiency is expected, with additional languages considered advantageous.
