As an IT Support Engineer, you will report to the IT Manager at your home site and work closely with the business, colleagues, and remote support teams to implement and maintain critical infrastructure elements and provide day-to-day support to meet operational needs. You will serve as an escalation point for IT Support Technicians, remote teams, and Operations regarding technical issues and interface between these teams as needed.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain IT infrastructure while interfacing confidently with senior management stakeholders across multiple business entities.
  • Ensure all IT equipment and infrastructure are running at optimal performance, meeting departmental KPIs and SLAs.
  • Run projects across the site, collaborating closely with the business, fellow engineers, and remote support teams to implement necessary changes to the technology infrastructure.
  • Manage the availability of all IT equipment through continuous improvement, aiming to enhance equipment efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with global SME teams for the installation and maintenance of networking and server infrastructure in accordance with Amazon standards.
  • Conduct site audits on technical infrastructure to ensure compliance with the latest Amazon IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Act as a point of contact for contractors or external suppliers, clearly communicating technical issues and Amazon standards.
  • Provide validation and direction on the technical execution of projects and support recruitment of new talent into OpsTechIT.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
  • 3+ years of Windows Server technologies experience (AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM).
  • 4+ years of technical support experience.
  • 4+ years of experience providing support for corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting a Windows Server environment.
  • Experience supporting video and teleconference equipment.

Work Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional travel.
  • A commitment to customer service excellence and support for high-severity incidents.

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English is expected; knowledge of additional languages may be beneficial.
