We are seeking an IT Support Intern who will be the initial point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance. In this role, you will work closely with the IT team to provide support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain hardware and software systems.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first line of support for end users.
- Receive and manage support tickets through the IT service management system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, including operating systems, productivity applications, and security tools.
- Help maintain IT-related systems and data, including user accounts, security groups, and access controls.
- Participate in developing IT policies and procedures and assist in documenting IT-related processes in the Knowledge base.
- Set up and maintain accessories and peripherals such as printers, monitors, and A/V systems.
- Assist with inventory management and tracking of consumables.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Diploma Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows 10/11 and MacOS, and productivity applications like Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Basic knowledge of computer networks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and non-technical users.
