We are seeking an IT Support Intern who will be the initial point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance. In this role, you will work closely with the IT team to provide support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support for end users.
  • Receive and manage support tickets through the IT service management system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems, including operating systems, productivity applications, and security tools.
  • Help maintain IT-related systems and data, including user accounts, security groups, and access controls.
  • Participate in developing IT policies and procedures and assist in documenting IT-related processes in the Knowledge base.
  • Set up and maintain accessories and peripherals such as printers, monitors, and A/V systems.
  • Assist with inventory management and tracking of consumables.
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical users clearly and concisely.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows 10/11 and MacOS, and productivity applications like Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and non-technical users.
