Position

As an IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing timely and effective IT support to local staff in the resolution of hardware, software, and network issues at the company in Dubai. Key accountabilities include:

    Local Office IT Support: Responding to IT service requests related to computers, printers, phones, network connectivity, and other office equipment, including routine maintenance on workstations, servers, and networking equipment.

  • Oracle Fusion ERP System Management: Acting as the local point of contact for Oracle Fusion ERP-related queries, ensuring smooth usage of the ERP system, providing staff training, and collaborating with the Head Office IT team.

  • Network and Hardware Management: Monitoring and maintaining local network infrastructure for connectivity and security, troubleshooting, and installing hardware/software components.

  • Collaboration with Head Office IT Team: Working closely with the Head Office IT team to maintain IT policies and support software and hardware deployments.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Keeping records of IT support activities, generating monthly reports, and informing management about recurring issues and system performance.

  • IT Inventory and Procurement: Managing IT inventory and assisting with procurement processes, including vendor liaison for specifications and warranty claims.

  • User Training and Support: Conducting training sessions for local staff on the Oracle Fusion ERP system and best practices for data security.

To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, alongside 3+ years of IT support experience, particularly with hardware, software, and networking. Essential experience includes hands-on support with the Oracle Fusion ERP platform. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities for explaining technical concepts to non-technical staff, and relevant certifications such as ITIL, MCSA, or Oracle are preferred.

The position is based on-site and is full-time.
