Core Responsibilities:

  • Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining hardware and software, as well as setting up and integrating security solutions into the network.
  • Developing, implementing, and updating security policies and procedures to secure network resources and protect against evolving threats.
  • Monitoring network traffic, firewall logs, and events to identify potential security breaches and analyze network performance.
  • Responding to security incidents, analyzing breaches, and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Collaborating with other IT teams and business departments, as well as service providers, to ensure effective security measures.
  • Troubleshooting network connectivity issues and identifying root causes of problems.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and security policies.
  • Conducting regular security checks and audits of the systems.
  • Managing changes to security systems configurations, including changes related to network segmentation and firewall orchestration.
  • Monitoring network boundaries for intrusions, identifying threats, and analyzing internal and external IT threats.
  • Granting and restricting administrative access to boundary devices according to authorization rules.
  • Participating in cloud security projects, including planning and execution.
  • Monitoring network performance and optimizing the network for optimal speed and availability.
  • Working with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor and respond to security threats.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications from Network Security Vendors are highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in IP-Network administration with a strong track record in configuring, managing, and monitoring network security systems such as firewalls, proxies, load balancers, AAA, NAC, DDoS protection, and VPNs.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles with the ability to implement security policies, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure compliance.
