The IT Support Specialist plays a key part in maintaining business continuity through timely issue resolution, proactive system monitoring, and user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users through various communication channels and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Identify and resolve network performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, servers, and other IT equipment.
  • Install, update, and configure software applications and resolve software compatibility issues.
  • Manage Active Directory objects, such as user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
  • Administer Windows and Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal system performance through regular updates and patches.
  • Document solutions to common problems and maintain a knowledge base for internal use.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and certifications.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, with a focus on networking, Windows systems, and Linux administration.
  • Strong understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
  • Availability to work shifts (including nights, weekends, and legal holidays).
