As an IT Technician, you will report to the IT Manager and work closely with business teams, colleagues, and remote support teams to implement and maintain IT infrastructure. You will be part of a multinational diverse team committed to delivering high-quality results and continuously looking for improvements. As an integral member of the Operations – Fulfilment Centre and Logistics team, you will support the IT infrastructure at Amazon sites and provide IT support to our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all IT equipment and infrastructure operates at optimum performance, meeting departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Take ownership of Health & Safety, ensuring compliance with Amazon policies and guidelines.
- Manage the installation, maintenance, and support of IT equipment.
- Oversee asset and inventory management, liaising with third-party vendors and contractors to efficiently manage assets.
- Maximize the availability of IT equipment through continuous improvement and preventative maintenance.
- Provide technical support/input to site and team projects and initiatives.
- Conduct end user equipment trials and testing.
- Assist senior engineers as required.
- Work in shifts and support occasional changes in working hours.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in corporate settings supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems.
- Experience troubleshooting integrated and interdependent computer systems.
- Proficient in maintaining thermal printers and troubleshooting thin clients, PCs, scanners, and portable handheld terminals.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware installation, AWS, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service focus.
