Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of project deliverables concerning the IT Infrastructure, including system requirements, design documents, and test procedures.
- Analyze user and system requirements; derive and specify requirements for IT and HW infrastructure.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Integration & Test teams to define implementation specifications.
- Interface with suppliers and subcontractors to define hardware specifications, manage requests for quotations, and oversee production and acceptance tests.
- Prepare training materials and conduct training for peers and customers.
- Define test procedures and conduct hardware installation acceptance tests.
- Participate in internal and customer technical meetings.
Technologies
- RS232, RS422, discrete signaling, Ethernet, electrical cabling.
- Electrical Mechanical CAD drawing (AutoCad, Cadence).
- Network technologies including Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Fortinet, Dell servers, and storage bay technologies.
Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical design capacity, including hardware engineering and engineering development lifecycles.
- Experience in integration with radio communication systems (VHF/UHF communications).
- Proven experience in leading engineering activities through the design lifecycle and platform installation, especially in military or defense industries.
Qualification and Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant qualifications in IT Infrastructure subsystems (network, communication, datacenter, virtualization, software integration, etc.).
- Preferred certifications in VMware and Linux System Administration.
- Must have high fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency in French and/or Arabic is advantageous.
