Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust IT/OT architectures that integrate seamlessly with manufacturing processes, ensuring real-time and historical data processing.
- Assess and select appropriate technologies for IT/OT solutions including edge computing, industrial IoT platforms, and cloud-native services.
- Ensure seamless integration of IT systems with operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and MES.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy machine learning models both on-prem (edge) and in the cloud.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the architecture aligns with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Document architecture and design decisions, serving as a reference for development and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in system integration and cyber security.
- Lead and manage IT/OT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT/OT architecture, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong expertise in both IT and OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, MES, and ERP platforms.
- Experience with Cloud technologies preferred, especially Microsoft Azure, focusing on OT data processing and analysis.
- Proficient in relevant programming languages and frameworks for industrial automation and cloud analytics.
- Familiarity with data science and edge computing architectures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex IT/OT system integrations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience managing large-scale IT/OT projects from planning to monitoring.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Relevant certifications such as TOGAF or Microsoft Azure Architect
- Familiarity with the metal manufacturing industry is a plus.
