ITS BIM Modeling Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ITS BIM Modeling Technician to join our Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) team in Abu Dhabi. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be involved in innovative design projects and contribute to the advancement of building information modeling (BIM) practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design ITS infrastructure (Dry Utility) in Civil 3D under the supervision of the Senior Engineer.
• Utilize effective computer skills with a proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows and related software.
• Demonstrate expertise in the usage and management of Common Data Environment (CDE) for model production.
• Design dry utilities using AutoCAD Civil 3D; candidates with wet utilities design background will also be considered.
• Exhibit proficiency in software packages and workflows associated with BIM specialization.
• Apply various modeling principles, techniques, and analyses to enhance project outcomes.
• Communicate effectively on technical and non-technical subjects related to modeling.
• Interface with other departments to coordinate work assignments and ensure project alignment.
• Perform clash analysis and resolve conflicts as directed by the Engineer.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their development.

Required Skills:

• Diploma in a relevant discipline; Bachelor’s Degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in BIM.
• Certification in drafting or BIM software from providers such as Autodesk, Bentley Systems, etc., is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and related software.
• Knowledge of Common Data Environment usage and management for model production.
• Proficiency in software packages and workflows associated with BIM specialization.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Good communication skills in English are required.
