The company is seeking a talented ITS ATMS Software Engineer to join our innovative team. This position will support the Resident Engineer in all technical, administrative, and operational aspects related to the development, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning, and deployment of the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS). You will oversee software development activities, review design submissions, monitor compliance with software development and cybersecurity requirements, and coordinate interfaces with existing and new Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). This role requires close collaboration with contractors, software developers, system integrators, and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of all ATMS software components.

What You'll Be Doing:
As an ATMS Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide supervision of ATMS software development, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment activities associated with the iTraffic NextGen platform and related software applications.
- Review and recommend approval of Functional System Design Documents (FSDD), Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Interface Control Documents (ICD), software architecture submissions, workflows, and database designs.
- Review and approve software integration and systems test plans, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cybersecurity testing, failover testing, performance testing, and reliability testing.
- Ensure Contractor compliance with Contract Documents, approved software development methodologies, configuration management requirements, and cybersecurity policies.
- Review and approve software-related technical submittals, interface designs, server configurations, middleware solutions, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Monitor software interfaces and integration activities between ATMS and other ITS subsystems, including CCTV, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), traffic detectors, enforcement systems, C-ITS platforms, and third-party stakeholder systems.
- Coordinate software integration activities with Contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end system functionality.
- Support the Resident Engineer in the technical assessment of Variation Orders, Change Orders, software enhancements, and system modifications.
- Witness software demonstrations, prototype evaluations, FAT, SAT, UAT, and end-to-end integration testing activities.
- Review software defects, issue logs, corrective actions, and deployment readiness assessments.
- Monitor software release management, migration activities, deployment plans, disaster recovery solutions, and business continuity provisions.
- Attend all ATMS software-related meetings and prepare technical comments, recommendations, and meeting records.
- Review correspondence and prepare responses for signature.
- Maintain status logs of software development, integration, testing, and issue resolution activities.
- Provide punch lists and final acceptance recommendations for software deliverables.
- Review and approve software-related as-built documentation, O&M manuals, administrator guides, training materials, and final handover documentation.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise software systems, ATMS, ITS, traffic management platforms, system integration, or smart mobility projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise software architecture and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) and ITS central systems
- System integration, APIs, middleware, and Interface Control Documents (ICD)
- Databases, reporting systems, dashboards, and data analytics platforms
- Cloud, virtualized, and hybrid hosting environments
- Cybersecurity principles and secure system architecture
- AI, machine learning, NLP, and decision-support applications in transportation systems
- Traffic management operations and ITS business processes
- Software testing methodologies including FAT, SAT, UAT, performance, and resilience testing
- Change management, configuration management, and release management processes
- Excellent knowledge of software integration with field ITS devices and central systems.
- Strong understanding of networked applications, IP communications, web services, REST APIs, and message-oriented architectures.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, virtual machine, containerized, and enterprise server environments.
- Experience with ATMS, SCADA, Smart City, Mobility Management, or Transportation Operations Center systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of RTA ITS systems and operations is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, stakeholder management, documentation, and technical review capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certifications in software, systems engineering, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, or project management are considered an advantage.
- Arabic language capability is a plus.
